Hospital is seeking a fourth Pediatrician to join their established group. This is an employed position and the provider should expect to see 20-25 patients per day. Clinic hours are 8: 30am-5pm Monday-Friday and the physician would have one weekday off per week due to call. Attendance at c-sections will be required, as well as rounding as newborns. The pediatrician will not attend deliveries.
The physician will be provided a strong financial package that includes competitive base salary, a sign on bonus, production bonus, etc.
Town has a population of 7, 000 and two counties with a population of over 45, 000. The primary service area is 34, 402 and secondary service area is 5, 697. The town is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains which offer a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy such as the New River Trail State Park, hunting, fishing, and canoeing, kayaking or tubing on the New River. Also, the Appalachian Trail passes through an area providing scenic views and great hiking. The town is 1.25 hours from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, 1.5 hours south of Roanoke, Virginia and just a little over 1.5 hours to Bristol, Tennessee. They are approximately 5 hours from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, 8 hours from New York City and approximately 5 hours from Atlanta, Georgia.
