Physician Requirements:

• Mendy’s – BC Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Must be certified in ATLS, ACLS and PALS
• Main ED – BC/ Emergency Medicine. Must be certified in ATLS, ACLS, and PALS.

• Low Admit Rate. Low to moderate acuity (high volume of respiratory patients in the winter)

• 24 hour real time radiology interpretation.

• A new 32-bed Critical Care Unit

• Intensive Care unit staffed 24/7 with an Intensivist

• Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery

• Orthopedic and Oncology Unit

• Diagnostic Imaging

• Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Services

Adult ED:

• 35-bed facility

• Annual patient volume 55,000 (includes Fast Track)

• Moderate to high acuity. Most trauma is triaged to JCL-N. Mtn trauma centers

• Admit Rate: 15%

• 12 Hour Shifts- Double coverage 24 hours/ day

• Emergency Department Physicians provide critical care support to the ICU

• Separate Fast Track with 12 hour coverage by Mid Level Providers
