VISTA's client is in need of long-term Pediatric trauma-General Surgery locums coverage for 1-2 weeks of coverage at a time. The program consists of one other Pediatric surgeon plus coverage from other local hospitals. The position would involve participation in trauma committee calls during length of covering any call in order to ensure we continue to meet ACS trauma requirements, and these meetings may fall outside of coverage shifts.
Location: Texas
Board requirement: Board certified
Schedule: One week per month and Will consider any availability
Shifts: Days plus call
Shift Responsibility: Clinic and call/Mixed clinic and inpatient
Procedures: General surgery/Laparoscopic/Trauma
Average patients per day: Clinic 15-25, Hospital 4-8
Back-up: No
EMR: Meditech
Trauma level: Level II
License requirement: Must be licensed before presentation
Privileges: 60 days
