PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITY:

• Two Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Surgeons are needed to join the Division of Pediatric Surgery at a very well regarded New York City academic medical center.

• This very busy pediatric surgery department currently has a team of three pediatric surgeons.

• Availability: Pediatric surgeons completing their fellowships in June of 2019, as well as pediatric surgeons who have prior work experience and are currently practicing will all be strongly considered and are welcome to apply. Visa candidates are also welcome to apply. This medical center will be able to sponsor Visas.

• The new pediatric surgeons will be required to have completed, or be in the process of completing, a pediatric surgery fellowship.

• This is a 100% pediatric surgery opportunity.

• There is no general surgery.

• The pediatric surgery department performs an increasing volume of surgery.

• The call rotation schedule is currently 1:3. When they recruit one or two additional pediatric surgeons, the frequency of call will be less.

• She or he will work at this medical center’s various campuses. (This will all be discussed during the interview process.)

• This medical center is a major healthcare provider and serves a very large and extensive patient base.

• Teaching will be required because this highly-regarded academic medical center has a large general surgery residency training program. It also has an extremely strong affiliation with the medical school.

• If the candidate so desires, there is ample opportunity to pursue clinical research. However, this is purely optional.

FINANCIAL COMPENSATION:

• The new pediatric surgeons will be employed by this medical center. They are offering:
