The Division of Pediatric Surgery at East Carolina University is seeking a pediatric surgeon to contribute to the growth and development of the pediatric surgery program. Candidates should have an interest in providing emergent and elective pediatric surgical procedures. The division covers a single hospital and has satellite clinics. Fixed term or tenure track positons are available at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates must have completed a pediatric surgery fellowship and be board certified or board eligible in general and pediatric surgery. Candidates should have a proven interest and ability to teach residents and medical students. Candidates should possess an interest in pursuing clinical research.

The Department of Surgery at East Carolina University is dedicated to providing state of the art care to patients in eastern North Carolina. The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center (VMC).

Vidant Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. VMC is a fully accredited JCAHO hospital and is a 909-bed tertiary referral center, providing acute, intermediate, rehabilitation, and outpatient health services to more than 1.5 million people in 29 counties. VMC is a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and has the largest Level IV NICU in the state. Full pediatric subspecialty care is provided.
