Chief of Pediatric General Surgery Opportunity in the Fort Lauderdale Area of South Florida!
This is an excellent opportunity for a successful innovator wishing to further enhance an already established program. You will be part of a busy six-surgeon group and assume the role of Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in all areas of general pediatric surgical care, possess enhanced expertise in minimally invasive surgery and exhibit exemplary administrative and leadership skills. Candidates must be board certified in pediatric surgery, have at least five years of leadership experience and have an enthusiastic commitment to teaching general surgery residents and medical students. Newly established residency programs will commence in summer 2017 with a surgical residency planned for the near future. Faculty appointments at nearby Universities are available as is the opportunity to conduct clinical research through this particular Hospital. This is a full-time employed position with the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity. This is a very desirable community close to the beaches of Fort Lauderdale with easy access to downtown Miami!
