Job Description

Last Update: 8/13/19

Children’s Hospital of Michigan is actively seeking three additional Pediatric Radiologists for full-time opportunities in Pediatric Interventional Radiology, and Body Imaging. The Division of Pediatric Imaging is comprised of 5 fellowship-trained, board certified physicians that provide subspecialty pediatric radiology coverage and serve patients throughout the Metro-Detroit area. Approximately 90,000 radiology exams were performed last year at Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s main campus and satellite locations. Call is shared equally among the division members, including weeknight, weekend, and holiday call. Residents cover night call; however, attendings are available if needed.

CHM offers an ACGME-accredited fellowship in pediatric radiology. Division members supervise and provide formal and informal teaching to pediatric radiology fellows, radiology residents, and medical students from programs throughout Southeast Michigan.

The department specializes in all imaging modalities including advanced ultrasound, computed tomography, MRI, and advanced cardiac imaging. Children’s Hospital of Michigan has two state-of-the-art interventional suites including a biplane neuroangiography lab with rotational CT and 3D imaging, 3D road-mapping, and 3D guidance. The section is part of a multi-hospital vascular-anomalies team, performing a large number of vascular malformation interventions.

For 132 years, the Children’s Hospital of Michigan has existed for one reason and one reason only – to improve the health and well-being of children by providing specialized care and expertise for all their unique healthcare needs. Our mission is to help children and their families live happier, healthier lives by engaging our family with theirs and by making every moment matter. As an international leader in neurology and neurosurgery, cardiology, oncology, and diagnostic services, CHM is ranked one of America’s best pediatric hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. CHM is home to a free-standing Pediatric Level One Trauma Center (verified by the American College of Surgeons) as well as Michigan’s only Pediatric Burn Center that is verified by the American Burn Association.

Candidates must be BE/BC with accredited fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology and eligibility to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan. Candidates with expertise in Pediatric Interventional Radiology should be comfortable performing routine pediatric interventional procedures including vascular access procedures, feeding tube placement/management, biliary and urinary tract procedures, biopsies, and drainages. For Pediatric Body Imaging, interest in musculoskeletal imaging and/or Cardiac imaging would be helpful.

If interested, please submit your current CV for immediate consideration. All inquiries and personal information are kept confidential.
