Job Description

Last Update: 7/05/18

Seeking a BE/BC pediatric pulmonologist with additional fellowship training and board eligibility/certification in pediatric sleep medicine. Ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pulmonology and have experience caring for patients with chronic and complex respiratory disorders such as cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease of prematurity, chronic asthma, general pediatric pulmonary disorders and pediatric sleep disorders. Competency in pediatric flexible fiber-optic bronchoscopy is desired as is a willingness to participate in graduate medical education. Clinical research initiatives are fully supported by the Office of Human Research.

The Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Center is a nationally accredited facility, proud to be associated with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. With approximately 150 patients, the division is comprised of a complete cystic fibrosis team including mental health, respiratory therapy, nutrition and social services specialists. Adult transition is seamlessly established under the direction of an adult specialist. Furthermore, as a nationally recognized facility, patients have access to some of the most recent treatment and research findings. Other programs of note include the multidisciplinary care of patients with neuromuscular diseases, a severe and chronic asthma clinic (rated among the nation's top healthcare facilities for providing high quality pediatric asthma care) and a sleep clinic offering PAP therapy in addition to a hospital based, AASM-accredited pediatric sleep lab that studies over 500 patients per year.

This is a full-time employed position. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
