Seeking two BE/BC pediatric pulmonologists to develop a comprehensive pulmonology program and direct an existing Cystic Fibrosis Center. Responsibilities include in-patient rotation coverage and general pulmonology clinic coverage. Scholarly and research interests are highly desirable, along with experience in teaching medical students and residents.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Direct a clinical program in pediatric pulmonology. Provide diagnostic and treatment services to children with conditions affecting the respiratory tract. Coordinate the efforts of related professionals to assure continuous availability of services. Monitor and take steps to enhance the quality of pulmonary services delivered at the Childrens Hospital and the department of pediatrics.
- Serve as lead physician of an accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center. Help coordinate the further development of the CF Center at the Childrens Hospital. Develop CF research activities
- Develop educational programs and activities for medical students and residents in relation to pediatric pulmonology.
- Maintain a spirit of inquiry and scholarship in the activities of the pulmonology service.
