Pediatric Nephrologist - F65030

The Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University has committed itself to transforming the Pediatric Nephrology Division into a model academic unit devoted to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and clinical, translational, and basic research. We are seeking a full-time pediatric nephrologist (non-tenure eligible) at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our team. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.

The division currently has 2.9 FTE faculty members, 2 nurse RN educators, a social worker, a dietitian, and an administrative assistant. Included in the division is the section of Pediatric Rheumatology with an additional physician and RN devoted to Rheumatology. The division has an active inpatient and outpatient presence with a busy end-stage renal disease program including dialysis and transplantation, as well as procedures including acute dialysis (PD, HD and CRRT) and renal biopsies. Additionally, the division has an active ACGME approved fellowship program.

Applicants must be board certified in pediatrics and board certified/eligible in pediatric nephrology. A demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU, is required.
