Pediatric Hospitalist Locums Job in Oregon | 24-Hour Call Coverage | Beginning January 19 – Ongoing | Assignment #112294
Coverage Details
-- January 19: 4-hour orientation
-- January 20 (7 AM) – January 28 (7 AM)
-- February 2 (7AM) – February 8 (7AM)
-- Weekend coverage required
-- Ongoing coverage in 2026
Shift Description
-- 24-hour call (7 AM – 7 AM)
-- Includes 8 hours of rounding
-- Average in-house time: 5–6 hours/day of clinical care
-- Optional additional time for teaching students and residents
Call Details
-- 15-minute response time for emergencies
-- Minimal callback: Avg. 8.44 weekdays, 6.49 weekends
-- ED consults/admissions have flexible turnaround
Requirements
-- Oregon state license
-- DEA
-- PALS, BLS, ACLS, NRP
-- Board Certified Pediatrician – Highly Preferred; Board Eligible – Required
-- Clean malpractice background – Highly Preferred
-- Local candidates – Highly Preferred
Setting
-- Inpatient Level II nursery, Level I nursery, ED, Family Birth Center
-- 18-bed ward; primary work in Level II nursery
-- 6-bed pediatric unit (average census: 2 patients/day)
-- Average 4–6 newborns/day;
