A large non-profit healthcare system in Central Maine is adding a Pediatric Hospitalist


The Position

  • Join our dynamic Pediatric Hospitalist team providing care to newborns (level II nursery), pediatric inpatients, and emergency department consults at our state-of-the-art facility
  • Candidates must be comfortable with neonatal resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill newborns while awaiting transfer to a tertiary care center
  • Team includes 4 full-time Pediatric Hospitalists and 30 full-time Adult Hospitalists
  • 13 shifts per month with flexible scheduling
  • Option for 12 or 24 hour shifts available (6:30am-6:30pm)
  • Provide care independently each shift with support from OBs, midwives, anesthesia and family practice physicians
  • Average daily census of 4-6 patients
