We bring a complete multidisciplinary approach to patient care with experts on staff to serve a large population – more than 10,000 patient visits a year and more than 1,500 patients with diabetes a year. In addition to our board-certified pediatric endocrinologists, the department is staffed with certified diabetes educators, registered endocrinology nurses, social workers, board-certified clinical psychologists and registered dietitians.

Along with providing excellent care, the diabetes team conducts various educational sessions on diabetes self-management with patients and families. The sessions consist of individualized education plans and resource materials that measure patient progress and take place in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

We are recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for diabetes education. The ADA is the largest and most widely known organization in the field of diabetes. The ADA Education Recognition distinguishes healthcare organizations that provide quality diabetes self-management education services.
