Chief, Division of Pediatric Endocrinology

The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) is recruiting an established and funded investigator to assume the role of Division Chief. The Division hosts a fully accredited fellowship training program, multidisciplinary clinical programs, and is one of only a few national programs with a dedicated center for management and research into childhood obesity that includes healthy lifestyle interventions and adolescent bariatric surgery. There are significant resources to support the academic mission and research interests including startup packages, laboratory space, and strong collaborations with the programs in Internal Medicine Endocrinology, pediatric subspecialties, and other colleges in the VCU.

Responsibilities:

Clinical care of pediatric Endocrinology patients
Participate in mentorship and teaching of Medical Students, Residents and Fellows
Participate in research activities including genomics, proteomics, lipidomics, transgenics, nanoparticles and cancer models
Qualifications:

Board Certified in Pediatric Endocrinology
Eligible for appointment at the Associate or Professor level (tenure eligible)
Successful candidate should have a well-developed scholarly/research portfolio and external funding to compliment existing expertise
