Major/Essential Functions
•Provides patient care and diagnosis in Pediatric Endocrinology to newborns, children and adolescents •Determines nature and extend of disease or injury
•Prescribes and administers medication
•Ensure compliance with HIPPA and billing regulations
•Participates in research and scholarly activities within the Department of Pediatrics •Demonstrate Professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster school of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
•Participates in the education of medical students and residents of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine

Required Qualifications
•M.D./D.O. degree or foreign medical equivalent degree
•Successful completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program and Pediatric Endocrinology Subspecialty Residency (Fellowship) Program
•Posses or eligible to obtain a Texas State Medical License
•Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in General Pediatrics and either certified or eligible for certification by the ABP in Pediatric Endocrinology
