Southern Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Endocrinologist to join a well-established program. Join, this devoted team of board-certified endocrinologists who provide family-oriented care to a large number of children and adolescents with diabetes and endocrine disorders. The areas of expertise include treatment of growth, adrenal, thyroid and puberty disorders, as well as obesity, insulin resistance and disorders of low bone mass and calcium metabolism. The diabetes program cares for pediatric type I and type II diabetes and offers a team-centered approach with experience in nutrition medical therapy, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose sensors. You will enjoy a strong support staff consisting of one Dietician CDE, one Social Worker, three RNs, four endocrinology RNs, and one nurse coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity, to be part of a high volume practice serving the lower 31 counties of South Texas. The population served is over 2 million. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric services including NICU, PICU, and more than 40 pediatric subspecialists. This non-profit Hospital maintains a teaching affiliation with Texas A&M University Health Science Center and has its own pediatric residency (45 plus residents).
