Northeast Indiana needs Pediatric Endocrinologist--Sign-On Bonus

Successful candidate will join established practice of one Pediatric Endocrinologist, two CDE's, one Pediatric Dietitian, two Pediatric Endocrine nurses.
  • Children's Hospital consists of 24 bed Level III NICU, 8 bed PICU, 31 bed general pediatric unit, 20 bed Level III OB Unit, 7 bed Pediatric EM department.
  • Call will be 1:2 with heavy support by pediatric Intensivists and pediatric Hospitalists.

Fort Wayne is located 125 miles to Indianapolis and 160 miles to Chicago for all major metro amenities and international airports for traveling. Lutheran Children's Hospital (LCH) is the first comprehensive children's hospital in Fort Wayne. Since opening in 1999, LCH has created a dedicated children's hospital within a hospital" concept with recent facility investment of $10M and upcoming NICU renovation of $4M. LCH is a tertiary care facility, with neonatal, maternal/fetal and pediatric transport programs that includes Lutheran Air and dedicated LCH Mobile Intensive Care Units, as well as a verified Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. Level III Pediatric/PICU and NICU/OB care are currently focused at LCH (south) but sister-facilities including Dupont Hospital (north) and St. Joseph hospital (downtown) are developing coordinated, network systems of care for mother/baby and pediatrics that will result in more robust pediatric and perinatal programs of excellence and elevate the overall level of pediatric medicine in Northeast Indiana.
