This regional medical center in Savannah, GA is seeking a board certified Pediatric Endocrinologist to join their Pediatrics division. The practice is located in a major medical center that serves a diverse population of patients from a large geographical area. Patients represent a wide variety of pediatric populations including diabetes, growth disorders, intersex disorders, adrenal, thyroid, and pituitary problems. The Pediatrics team currently includes four general pediatricians, four pediatric intensivists, two pediatric endocrinologists, three pediatric hematologist/oncologist, three pediatric hospitalists, and a pediatric infectious disease specialist. The teams work collaboratively with other health professionals to provide comprehensive medical and psychological care to children. The incoming candidate can expect to supervise residents in our pediatric GME program as well.

The Pediatric Endocrinologist's primary responsibility will include evidence-based clinical evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents from birth through 18 years. Participation in grand rounds and other educational and professional development activities is strongly encouraged.

Candidates should have completed fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology, be board-eligible/board-certified pediatric endocrinologist, and be license eligible in Georgia. The Children's Hospital is the only children's hospital in Southeast Georgia, including the region’s only Level III Neonatal Care Unit. In 2016, the Children's Hospital served more than 70,000 children in the region and has plans to expand its services over the next five years. In addition, medical center broke ground on a new free-standing facility, with anticipated opening in 2019.
