TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a pediatric emergency medicine physician to join our team at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. Our private, state-of-the-art emergency department has 16 private rooms, sees an average of 60 patients per day, with 24-hours of physician coverage and 24-hours of pediatric nurse practitioner coverage per day. Our emergency room is equipped with some of the most advanced technology available for diagnostics and treatment. We offer a comprehensive on-site laboratory, radiology department, bedside registration, and triage and treatment rooms for minor cases. The pediatric emergency department also has a separate, private entrance, so children are not exposed to adult healthcare emergencies. Our level II neonatal special care unit includes hospitalists, intensivists, neonatologists, neuroscience specialists, and other pediatric sub-specialists. Eligible candidates will be board certified in pediatrics or board eligible within 5 years of residency, obtain an active New Jersey license or have proof of application, and DEA, PALS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications are required.
