TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time physician to join our Pediatric emergency department team at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital in Turnersville, New Jersey. This 10,000 volume Pediatrics ED within the adult ED has two radiology rooms with state-of-the-art digital x-ray equipment. This facility is a community hospital and teaching affiliate of Rowan University, so teaching opportunities maybe available for those with academic interests to assist with the on-site Emergency Medicine residency program. There are 4 beds in the Pediatrics ED with the ability to flex to 8 beds. This position will be responsible for the 8-bed pediatric floor. Admissions include asthma and dehydration, with no neonatal intensive care unit responsibilities and an average length of stay of 2 days. In addition, Neonatology is available to assist 24-7. The Pediatrics ED team has a collaborative relationship with a great core group of adult ED attendings, all Emergency Medicine trained.
