Cumberland Hospital is recruiting for a Pediatrician with training in Developmental-Behavioral to join our amazing team as a Medical Director. The Pediatrician will join a team of Pediatric, Family Medicine, Psychiatry and Physiatry Physicians. Along with NPs, Psychologist, Dietitians and Nurses. The team cares for young patients with chronic illness, Brain injuries, and Neurobehavioral disorders with co-behavioral issues.


Located in beautiful New Kent, VA the facility is nestled between Williamsburg and Richmond, VA just west of the Tidewater Region along coastal Virginia.


The Physician position is a fulltime employed position with Monday – Friday schedule. Patient care will be in the acute care, inpatient and residential treatment program. Duties include admissions, discharge, treatment team, medication management, and daily clinical work. A competitive compensation package of salary and benefits with bonus opportunity will be offered. All patient care is provided in a multidisciplinary treatment setting.

Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications).
1. MD/DO degree from an accredited program required
2. Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics required
3. Licensed to practice in the State of Virginia or ability to obtain a Virginia Medical license
4. Minimum of five years of practice experience
5. Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities.
1. Ability to work within and build a collaborative and supportive culture/medical program
2. Willingly accepts direction in achievement of organization’s objectives.
3. Organizational skills, including working collaboratively with others.
4. Understanding of and commitment to stewardship in both medical management and business reality.
5. Supervision to other practitioners and clinical staff
