Overview

The new pediatric cardiologist will join a well-established team of nine cardiologists and two pediatric cardiovascular surgeons. This program has 40 years of success in the region. The new cardiologist will join the faculty group of the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine at Peoria. The primary clinical site is OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois in Peoria. The opportunity is focused on those interested in echocardiography and fetal echocardiography, as well as general pediatric cardiology. Professional components include inpatient rotation coverage, cardiology clinic, and inpatient/outpatient echocardiography. Scholarly and research interests are expected of all University faculty, along with experience in teaching medical students and residents. The candidate must be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric cardiology and will report to the division head of pediatric cardiology. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.

  • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty (ies).
  • Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
