Cross Country Locums is seeking a Pathologist for PRN coverage in North Carolina.

Specialty:
  • Pathology Clinical & Anatomical. Prefers Pap Certified Pathologists but will consider Non Pap Certified pathologists.
Open Dates:
  • December 13-17, 2021
  • March 21-25 and November 4-14 (weekends for call) 2022.
  • I have another need in NC for dates: September 28,29 & October 5,6. Plus 2022 dates!
Desired Schedule:
  • Guaranteed 8 hours.
  • Start 7:30am ends around 2 or 3 typically since no autopsies
Worksite Setting:
  • lab in hospital
Scope of Work:
  • Surgical pathology (anatomic). Mainly Non gyn and gyn procedures. Will include blood smear, electrophoresis, (pap smears will send out if not pap certified)
  • No Autopsies. Small amount of gross.
  • Annual volume: 5,600.
  • AVG Daily Volume:
  • (Pap Smears: less than 10/day. will be sent out. Will not do pap smears if not pap certified.)
  • Surgical average: 21/day
  • Non gyns: less than 10/day
* Residents and medical students would like to observe the doctor. No supervision is required. Would be nice to show them slides and the scope. If not interested, let me know so he can tell the residents to take off that week. Expects 24 hour turnaround on routine cases.
