Chief Medical Examiner
One Hour to the Bay Area & Sacramento
$250,000-320,000+/Year Employed

Under administrative direction of the Health Care Services Agency Director, they will direct and administer the functions of the Medical Examiner’s Office to include autopsies, external examinations, and medical record reviews, develop policies and protocols, and coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies.

  • The Chief ME is responsible for all medical decisions and reports to the Director of Health Services
  • Forensic Pathology certification required
  • Cause of death, wound interpretations, autopsy strategies, test selection, and evidence collection
  • Supervisory position, executive management – develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Employed position with the County offering a competitive salary

  • Also hiring two Forensic Pathologists for a new department
  • Job Requirements: Physician with MD/DO degree – Board Certified or TRULY Board Eligible with valid medical license
