Excellent Pathology opportunity located in Northern Illinois! Currently seeking an AP/CP board certified Pathologist. Fellowship training in General Surgical or Hematopathology would be highly desirable. Cryostat knowledge is a requirement. You would be joining one other Pathologist in a full-time, hospital employed position with an accredited lab. The schedule is M-F 8 am-5 pm and involves an extremely light call every other week (usually 1 call per week or so). Autopsies are very rare within the service. Bone marrow aspiration technique is preferred in the practice. Case load for grossing days involves approximately 15 GYN cytology cases, 3 Non-GYN cytology cases, and 5 blood smears. Reading of surgical cases averages 20-30 cases including GI biopsies. Competitive comprehensive benefits are being offered including a great salary.
