Forensic Pathologist Locums Job on Eastern Florida Coast | October 16-20

Jackson + Coker is partnered with a Medical Examiner Office located on the eastern Florida coast that needs a Forensic Pathologist to provide coverage for one week (Monday through Friday) in October and intermittently through 2023. The office can process paperwork in one day to get you onboard/ready to work and could additionally use supplemental support on an ongoing basis.

Coverage need: (Hours are 8AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday)
* Monday, October 16 - Wednesday, October 18
+ May have intermittent coverage needs that come up and/or are receptive to accepting any additional availability that you can offer proactively

Details/Requirements for Assignment #95260:
-- Florida medical license is required for this assignment
-- Board Certification or true Eligibility required
-- Location: about an hour east of Orlando
-- Coverage need for October 16-20 specifically and will intermittently need help until a permanent physician is hired (seeking M-F stretches only)
-- No night or weekend call coverage
-- Between the chief medical examiner & another staffed pathologist, the group averages around 7 cases each day
-- Can expect 2-3 cases (between autopsies + externals) but a majority being autopsies
-- Mondays can be a little higher volume
-- Forensic skills required; will perform autopsies & external inspections
-- Both of their staff physicians will be gone for this October week so any homicides, criminal cases or child cases will be the responsibility of the locum tenens physician
-- County does an average of 1,100 cases annually
-- No hospital privileges will be needed; only standard information + documentation will be required in order for an interested candidate to go to work (this can take 24 hours or less)
