The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is looking for a board certified or eligible Otolaryngology Pediatrician to join our team in Coastal Charleston, SC. MUSC Health’s comprehensive ear, nose, and throat program, which treats both children and adults, was recently ranked among the top 15 programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report in 2022. Our pediatric otolaryngologists have additional training and expertise in treating children and provide services at multiple locations throughout Charleston.

Transforming fetal, women’s and children’s care for the region, in 2020 MUSC Children’s Health opened the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital — a 100,000 square foot, 250-bed, state-of-the-art building. Along with our nationally ranked clinical care is MUSC’s major pediatric clinical research center, the Charles P. Darby Research Institute, enabling us to continually imagine what’s possible—today, tomorrow and beyond.

The MUSC Children’s R. Keith Summey Medical Pavilion offers comprehensive specialty clinics, outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, infusion procedures, and support services such as lab and pharmacy, and urgent care in one convenient location. This medical pavilion has been designed exclusively for children and offers hassle-free parking, easy access from major roadways and convenient bus transit service.

Ideal candidates will be:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology with additional Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship
  • Committed to MUSC’s educational and research missions, and to teaching our pediatric fellows, ENT residents, and medical students

About our opportunity:

  • Provide comprehensive specialty care for patients on both an inpatient and outpatient basis
  • New surgical and clinical sites designed exclusively for children
  • Join a collaborative and intellectually stimulating team of 4 faculty members and 3 Advanced Practitioners, with full audiology and speech pathology support
  • Great collaborative relationships with subspecialists including pediatric pulmonology, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric sleep medicine, pediatric surgery and cardiothoracic surgery
  • EPIC medical record platform
  • Opportunity for research and pursuing individual scholarly interests is encouraged and supported

We will provide:

  • Relocation assistance
  • Competitive pay and signing bonus
  • Excellent retirement options, including a pension and optional tax-deferred contributions
  • Sovereign Immunity malpractice coverage
  • 22 days of annual leave, 15 days of sick leave, and 13 paid holidays
