Client is offering temporary privileges to start locum provider in July.

Provider will work with the Psychiatrist to accept admissions, complete H&Ps; Will also work with the Hospitalist if needed for medical issues; Treats minor medical needs of inpatients.

Hours are 8am to 5pm - No weekend coverage required and no call coverage after shift.
Must be psych certified and have experience
Coverage is provided in the inpatient adult unit
Worksite Address: 2900 Lamb Circle, Christiansburg, VA 24073
EMR: EPIC
Schedule: Monday - Friday (weekly)
Length of assignment: 3+ months
Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Licensure/Certification: Current Virginia State Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and DEA license required.
AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
Advanced Life Support certification required.

Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Medicine.

Capable of meeting credentialing or job function requirements as needed based on the requirements of the practice and of managed care payors and insurers.

Other: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
