Orthopedic Surgery Opening in Iowa Located in ***Decorah, IA*** - Rochester, MN 70m; La Crosse, WI 55m Board-certified/Board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery and eligible for medical licensure in Iowa. The orthopedic surgeon will be responsible for providing clinic-based orthopedic consultations and surgical procedures, primarily in joint replacements, sports medicine/arthroscopic surgery, and some trauma. The patient population may involve some pediatrics, but the majority of patients will be age 16 and up. Become a member of a team of two Orthopedic Surgeons, 1 Podiatrist, and an ortho/surgical PA upon completion of recruitment. Close collaboration with a robust occupational health program facilitated by a well-trained advanced practice provider. Potential outreach to surrounding communities within a 60 mile radius. Medical Center is the orthopedic and sports medicine and student health services provider for Upper Iowa University (UIU). The orthopedic surgeon serves as the team physician for the department of athletics and provides weekly training room and home event coverage for football. The primary care physicians and advanced practice providers also serve as the student health service providers during the academic year. In Decorah, we are an integrated multispecialty practice with 26 primary care and specialty care physicians, 3 psychologists, and 17 PAs/NPs living and working in our community. Additional specialty care is provided through outreach in Rochester, MN, and in La Crosse, WI.
