Orthopedic Surgery opening in Maine Farmington, ME 1.5 hours to Bangor Full Time, Permanent position General Ortho Visa candidates may apply ~Comp range: $450 + for a new graduate; $650 + for an experienced orthopedic surgeon with productivity targets ~Relocation: Up to $20,000 ~Sign on bonus: This comes in the form of a forgivable loan ~Benefits: Are the standard Maine Medical Partners Physician Benefits package. ~Work days: Orthopedic physicians all work 5 days per week and this is reflected in comp but this may be negotiable. ~OR Block time: Would be one full day and one half block another day. We can be flexible with some coordination with the other practices. This is a non-robotic site. Orthopedic Surgery group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Orthopedic Surgeon to jour our team of 13 surgeons and 6 non-operative physicians with subspecialty expertise in trauma, reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, shoulder and elbow, and hand surgery. The ideal candidate will staff our regional practice located in Farmington, Maine. The Farmington office team has an Orthopedic Surgeon, a Sports Medicine physician, an experienced PA, and a podiatrist. This team of doctors at Farmington provides state-of-the-art joint replacements, including total knee and hip replacements, carpal tunnel release, joint arthroscopy, fracture reduction, and foot and hand surgery. A diverse physical rehabilitation and sports medicine department supports the Orthopedics program, as well as a weekly sports medicine clinic for individuals of all ages who suffer from a sports-related injury, including a local Division III university, high school and ski academy. This position is supported by our Portland based multi-disciplinary team of surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and administrative staff who are committed to providing high quality medical and surgical care to patients of all ages throughout Maine. This position also offers teaching opportunities of medical students, as Hospital is one of the teaching sites for the Maine Medical Center Tufts University Medical School program.
