TTUHSC EP and Tenet Healthcare are collaborating in an exciting opportunity to establish a new, 130 bed teaching hospital and 110,000 sq. ft. Medical Office Building in west El Paso. As part of this collaboration, TTUHSC EP is establishing a number of new Departments and residency programs with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine based at the Transmountain Campus.

The successful candidate in this position will be employed by TTUHSC EP in a multidisciplinary Department of Surgery at an academic rank commensurate with qualifications. The candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient care, assist in curriculum development and provide teaching experiences for medical students from the PLFSOM, as well as develop and deliver curriculum in support of a number of residencies including a transitional year program. The candidate will participate in committees, research and/or scholarly activities within the Department, Medical School and University.

This position does not require trauma call.

There are opportunities for leadership roles for the Department for individuals with the appropriate qualifications and experience.

The position requires a M.D/D.O degree; completion of an ACGME approved residency in Orthopedics, and Board certification / eligibility. Individuals with additional training in a subspecialty field of Orthopedics are encouraged to apply.
