Tenet Healthcare is actively seeking a fellowship trained Pediatric Orthopedic Oncologist to join the well-established Division of Pediatric Orthopedics at Children’s Hospital of Michigan (CHM) in Detroit. There is a large community need for hospital based expertise in diagnosis, treatment, and research in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery with Oncology expertise. The Division is comprised of six physicians, three nurse practitioners, and one physician assistant. This is a full-time position and there is no on-call coverage required. OR block time will be available at the CHM’s main hospital in Detroit and the CHM Pediatric stand-alone Troy location. Hospital privileges will include Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Harper University Hospital, and Karmanos Cancer Center.

An interest in academics and research is highly preferred. Teaching opportunities will be available with the residency program associated with Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Detroit Medical Center. Much of the research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, and other agencies including, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the National Hemophilia Foundation.

Children’s Hospital of Michigan nationally ranked in 8 Pediatric Specialties by US New and World Report’s Best Hospital 2015-2016. The hospital boasts the largest pediatric trauma center in Michigan and has an American College of Surgeons verified Level 1 Trauma and Burn facility.

Candidates must be board certified in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Oncology fellowship trained. All qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their CV for immediate consideration.
