Our large not-for-profit healthcare organization with more than 23,000 employees working across 11 hospital campuses and more than 100 outpatient facilities throughout Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

Seeking a Authorizations Supervisor to be responsible for the coordination and implementation of various initiatives to support MCI goals in the areas of pre-registration, insurance, scheduling, billing, service excellence, employee engagement, patient and guest services, new process and service line integration. The supervisor should be able to understand and apply all nationally recognized oncology guidelines as they apply to obtaining authorizations for services at MCI to assist in expediting all aspects of patient care. The supervisor will oversee and assist all direct reports in the daily departmental functions related to authorizations/referrals through proactively addressing employee, patient, and organizational needs timely and in accordance with hospitals standards. This position serves as an expert to all staff across the authorizations department.

Schedule: 9:00AM - 5:30PM

Education:

Degrees: Associates Additional Qualifications: Bachelors degree preferred. Position requires one (1) year lead/supervisory experience and at least five (5) years experience in a health care organization and demonstrated leadership skills with increasing levels of responsibility. Must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills to support business and strategic initiatives across the organization. Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with practice leaders, physicians, practice staff and corporate partners. Must be a professional, detail-oriented team player with excellent communication and problem solving skills. In-depth knowledge of customer service principles and practices as well as knowledge of business office operations. Proficiency in MS Office applications. Knowledge of healthcare insurance guidelines required
