Job Description

Last Update: 8/28/23

Established 6 physician group practice in Georgia is searching for a new ophthalmologist to join their team.

This is a very busy, well respected group and they have a strong, legitimate need for a new surgeon. Several doctors will be winding down over the next few years so this will be a great position with a lot of good organic growth. Ideally, this practice would like to find a comprehensive ophthalmologist (or anterior segment surgeon) who is interested in partnership with the group.

- Great People

- ASC onsite
- 2 office locations
- Partnership opportunity
- Excellent online reviews
- No MD/OD turnover

You’ll be busy: It is anticipated that the incoming ophthalmologist can see as many as 40-50 patients per day and perform 6-10+ surgeries per week and several of the doctors will be retiring and winding down soon, so the incoming ophthalmologist can expect to be very busy clinically and surgically!

You’ll be mentored: What a fantastic place to live, work and be mentored. This 6 doctor team will provide a wealth of experience and knowledge. Doctors here have received training at well-known institutions including: Hamilton Eye Institute, Medical College of Georgia, Harvard University, Emory Eye Center, and Bascom Palmer.

You’ll be welcomed: Our long-time doctor staff and administrative team will do everything we can to help the incoming ophthalmologist to be successful. We are a relationship driven practice and patient care is our focus.

The Community:

This is a small Georgia community with a great quality of life and a low cost of living. Locals are known for having an “Others above Self” culture and attitude. The county is home to 44,000 people and is a highly ranked retirement area. The community is located within 2 short hours of Georgia's coastline and Atlanta.

Medical Missions - Several of our ophthalmologists participate in medical missions to Ecuador and Jamaica, so inquiring ophthalmologists who would love to get involved in eye care missions will love working here.
