**Ophthalmologist opportunity in Columbus, Nebraska** ~ Located 80 miles from Omaha, NE and Lincoln, NE ~ Service area: 60,000+ **Hospital is actively recruiting for an Ophthalmologist to join a local practice in Columbus, Nebraska.** ~ FT/Perm position - would like to become a long-term member of medical and Columbus community. This dynamic group is committed to providing outstanding patient care with an appropriate balance between work and family. ~ Looking for a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist MD/DO. Currently the practice is a 2 MD, 6 OD practice with 6 locations, opticals, and an affiliated ASC. ~ The doctor will enjoy a strong co-management referral base of a 100 miles radius. The doctors practice Comprehensive ophthalmology with an expanded scope of practice to include not only cataract/anterior segment, but also glaucoma, refractive surgery, medical retina, and oculoplastics. ~ The practices use Modernizing Medicine EMR with the most advanced iPad chart input and image management system. Surgeons use the state-of-the-art technology including LenSx Femtosecond Laser with ORA System in implanting the most advanced intraocular lenses including Toric and multifocal lenses. PRK/LASIK refractive surgery utilizes WaveScan WaveFront System, Intralase iFS Advanced Femtosecond laser, and Star S4 IR Excimer Laser. ~ Regarding glaucoma, the doctors do most minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries such as iStent, Kahook dual blade, and Xen implant, as well as SLT. The doctors also preform many AMD and diabetic related injections utilizing all the available drugs including Avastin, Lucentis, Eylea, and Beovu. With the practice goal of providing all the eye care needs of the family, Contacts to Cataracts, Lenses to LASIK, the practice has strategic partnerships for neuro-ophthalmology, pediatric-strabismus, and surgical retina. ~ After a required waiting period, there will be a partnership opportunity as well. ~ MD/DO Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology. Applicant able to obtain Nebraska Medical License and DEA, and is willing to live in either Norfolk, Nebraska, or Columbus, Nebraska. **About the Group:** The group offers a professional team that includes two Doctors of Medicine, and six Doctors of Optometry each with specialties involving the latest techniques in cataract surgery, refractive surgery, prescription lenses and contacts, cataract and ocular disease treatments, and more. We serve many counties in Northeast Nebraska with our six office locations. Our office in Columbus, Nebraska features the state-of-the-art Columbus Surgery Center equipped with the most advanced equipment and technology available. Outside of having our own Surgery Center, our surgeons also provide surgical services throughout the year in Albion, Neligh, and Norfolk meaning that your care can always be close to home.
