General Ophthalmologist with special interest and/or training in Glaucoma needed for central MA academic medical center. Position is full time and clinic hours are 4.5 days/week. Current group has five other physicians, all general ophthalmologists with various subspecialty training and experience. Physician will see patients in a newly renovated eye care surgical center with state-of-the-art equipment and ambulatory center. Physicians are expected to take call 1:5 weeks and 1:5 weekends and call consists of inpatient consultations and ED management. During call weeks there are no outpatient clinical responsibilities. There is a strong internal referral panel in addition to the existing local patients and over 20,000 employees and students of the local medical school/hospital campus. Salary is very competitive and is commensurate with experience.
