Job Description

Last Update: 7/21/22

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) is actively seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our dynamic and rapidly growing faculty. Individuals with a defined focus in Breast and/or Gynecologic Malignancies are sought to develop our service lines, and advance our program. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience following training; though more recent graduates with exceptional educational experiences are encouraged to apply.

The candidate will be certified by the American Board of Radiology and possess the technical and scholarly skills and clinical experience necessary to establish and maintain an active clinical multidisciplinary practice. Our goals include meeting the needs of a rapidly growing community and a rapidly growing cancer program. Adjunct faculty appointment with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will be recommended commensurate with accomplishments. Opportunities for scholarly activities including clinical investigation, enrollment of patients on investigator initiated, MDACC–sponsored, and NCI-cooperative group studies are available.

Baptist Health is the region’s most-preferred healthcare provider, one of only seven unique health systems in the United States chosen to replicate MD Anderson Cancer Center’s integrated and multidisciplinary model of patient care, and the only Partner-program in the Southeastern United States. BMDACC, a member of the MD Anderson Cancer Network®, has provided patients and family with an unprecedented level of integrated and coordinated oncology care to Northeast Florida. BMDACC provides its faculty physicians an academically-oriented model of practice within a vibrant community.

The new Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is now housed in an iconic 330,000 square foot patient-centered, state-of-the-art facility containing the full spectrum of oncology care. The services are provided across two campuses (three campuses in fall of 2022) providing a full range of radiation oncology services including IMRT, SBRT, IGRT, 3D conformal radiotherapy, VMAT, 4DCT, HDR brachytherapy and non-sealed isotopes’ tumor ablation. Equipment includes Varian linear accelerators: TrueBeam (three) and an Edge with BrainLab ExacTrac Dynamic Radiosurgery system, GammaMed HDR After-loader, GE CT/Simulator, Eclipse RTP system, and Aria record/verification and EMR.

The Jacksonville community in Northeast Florida has spectacular beaches and waterways, winning professional sports teams, a strong and diverse economy, championship golf courses, exceptional cultural and recreational opportunities, strong educational options for all ages, and abundant natural resources.

Baptist MD Anderson is an equal opportunity employer who recognizes and embraces the value which evolves from a diverse faculty. Interested candidates should submit their CV and a letter describing their clinical and academic interests to:
