**Radiation Oncology opportunity: Lorain, OH**
~ Located 30m to Cleveland
~ COC accredited and NCI designated

**Position Details**
- Full-time, permanent
- Reason for hire: Replace retiring physician
- Start date: ASAP
- Outpatient
- Hospital Based
- Call coverage for full-time radiation oncologist
- Avg daily census when rounding: 18/physician
- Avg clinic patients/day - 12 per physician 2x per week
- Avg cases per year = 476
- Case mix: 36% breast, 20% lung and bronchus, 20% prostate, 6% urology, 2% brain, 2% Head & neck, 14% misc.
- Equipment involved: Linear Accelerator, Elekta, Versa and Infinity2, Mosaic and Epic Software
- Virtual Health available for: Telemed, Monitoring, consults and rouding (at cancer center)

*The Center continues to grow and volumes have continued to increase year over year for the last 4 years*

**Requirements**
- Radiation Oncology American Board of Radiology
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
- Experience with brachytherapy related to prostate procedures

**Special Procedures, Surgeries Offered**
- SBRT - 60 per year
- Breast
- Gastroenterology
- Gynecology
- Image guided radiation therapy
- Intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)
- Thoracic malignancies image guided radiation therapy
- Stereotactic body radiation therapy
- Brachytherapy

**Practice Philosophy/Goals**
- Set for growth in the areas of breast, lunch and colorectal cancer
- Multi-disciplinary, collaborative atmosphere with one other radiation oncologist and the support of physics, dosimetry, nursing administration and support services such as social work.

**Describe a Typical Day**
- Day starts at 8:00 for treatment of patients
- Spend day seeing patients for consult visits and follow ups
- Weekly seeing patients for On Treatment Visits
- Provides oversight for Radiation treatment planning process
- Oversees Radiation Delivery process
- Supported in the care of patients by physics' dosimetry, nursing, radiation therapist, secretaries, dietician, social services and cancer center leadership
- Collaborates with other specialist in the care of patients
- Medical Oncologists located within the Cancer Center
- Participates in peer review, tumor boards, and other meets
- for SBRT, 2 physicians are required at the machine for other treatments, one required within the building

**Teaching Opportunities**
- Robust Combined tumor boards, breast leadership committee, clinical trials and cancer committee upholding commission on cancer guidelines
