Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking applications for a full-time clinically- experienced, academically-oriented Radiation Oncologist to serve as Head of the Division of Radiation Oncology.

The Division Head, a key member of the clinical leadership team will significantly influence the direction of our Cancer Center and join like-minded faculty committed to our mission of Making Cancer History. S/he will provide and direct state-of-the-art radiation oncology services including IMRT, SBRT, IGRT, 3D conformal radiotherapy, VMAT, 4DCT, HDR brachytherapy and non-sealed isotopes tumor ablation using Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, Novalis Radiosurgery system, GammaMed HDR After-loader, GE CT/Simulator, Eclipse RTP system, Mosaic record/verification, and our EMR. S/he will affect change through overall strategic management, planning, and execution of clinical and other operations.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the direction and coordinate all activities within the discipline of Radiation Oncology to develop and maintain professional excellence in comprehensive multidisciplinary programs in Radiation Oncology and Radiation
  • Exhibit the passion, communication and interpersonal skills required to lead a growing Division, build an active clinical practice, and develop areas of productive scholarship;
  • Provide strategy, budgeting, coordination, performance, and evaluation of all activities within the Division, including quality review/assessment of radiation treatment
  • Maintain and advance excellent, compassionate, and multidisciplinary care for cancer patients through the recruitment and retention of outstanding faculty and staff;
  • Be certified by the American Board of Radiology / Radiation Oncology, and have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida Medical License;
  • Fully support the clinical, scholarly, and educational missions of our program
  • Be recommended for appointment as Adjunct Associate or Professor at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center commensurate with clinical and academic achievement.
