Hospitals in Beverly & Glouchester MA seeking a full time Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist for their cancer program to work at both locatons.



The candidate joins a strong multidisciplinary program that is accredited as a Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeon, Commission on Cancer, and a breast program that is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. The successful candidate will also become a member of the Health Cancer Institute which includes the cancer programs of Hospital & Medical Center, Medical Center, Peabody and Winchester Hospital Center for Cancer Care, as well as close affiliations with Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire and Parkland Medical Center in Derry and Salem, New Hampshire. The total new analytic cancer cases within the LHCI exceed 5,500 cases annually. There are system-wide Multidisciplinary Model of Care teams for breast, GI, GU, thoracic, head and neck, and GYN ONC cancers which involve surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists that address clinical standardization, the clinical research agenda, and quality metrics and outcomes reporting. The successful candidate will become a member of those teams.



Ample opportunities exist for research collaborations as the LHCI maintains a vibrant clinical research program. Healthcare group is a main member in SWOG and NRG, and has a robust Translational Research Program and Clinical Effectiveness Research Institute. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Innovation Center accepted all LHCI entities into its Oncology Care Model (OCM) Demonstration Project. The goals of the OCM project are to align financial incentives, to improve care coordination, the appropriateness of care, the quality of care, and the access to care. The Hospital & Medical Centers Department of Hematology/Oncology is affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine with an opportunity for an academic appointment commensurate with ones level of achievement.
