The locum tenens Oncology opportunity in Santa Cruz, CA…
-Location: On the coast, 70 miles south of San Francisco, 30 miles from the nearest International Airport
-Duration: Now open on-going until permanent is hire. Group is willing to extend locum tenens a permanent contract pending agreeance of all parties. 60-90 day credentialing timeline
-Schedule: Clinic and Call
-Clinic: 4 days per week, 36 hours of patients contact per week
-Call: 1:8, ED Call rare, mostly consults
-Hospital Visits: 1 time per day while in clinic, occasional rounding during the weekend
-EMR: All scripts
-Patients Volume: 10 patients per day to start, ramp up to 15-20
-Group: one other oncologist in group, 2 other rad onc for referals, 1 MA per physician
-Infusion Center: : 15 Bays, 12 Onc Certified RN’s, includes Chemo RX
- Community hospital designated comprehensive cancer center by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
- Clinical trials through Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) affiliation
- Clinic and Infusion Center conveniently located within walking distance to hospital
- Close proximity to major academic centers, including UCSF and Stanford
- Multidisciplinary tumor board (2x/mo) + Cancer Committee (qtly)
-Spanish speaking is a plus as there is 20-25% Spanish speaking patients
-Required: BC or BE with active California license
