VISTA’S client in Maine is seeking outpatient oncology locum coverage in their outpatient clinic. The locum tenens provider will not take call and the shift is Monday – Friday. The client has some flexibility with the hours and expects this need will run through the end of the year. This locum opportunity will set you in a community steeping in history and must-see architecture. There are many boutiques, taverns and great eateries are local to the area.
Job Details: 100% Outpatient Clinic
-Dates Needed: July 18, 2023 - ongoing
-Specialty: Oncology
-Reason: Contracted services being terminated
-How Many Needed: 1 Full-time Provider
-Board Requirements: Preferred not required
-Certifications: BLS and ACLS
-License: Maine, willing to wait for license with clean history
-Shifts: Monday - Friday
-Consults: 1 per shift, 1 hour appointment
-Follow-up appointments: 30 minutes
-Patients Per Shift: 12-14
-Call Required: None, hospitalist will cover call
Back-up: Solo practice, no mid-levels, but oncology RNs
-Number of infusion chairs: 5
-EMR: Cerner
-Credentialing: 2-3 months, must be privileged at local hospital
-Types of Procedures/Cases: Typical hematology and medical oncology
-COVID Vaccination Requirement: Locum must have COVID and Influenza vaccinations
