Orthopedic practice seeking BC/BE Occupational Medicine Physician

This leading private orthopedic practice in North Central Florida, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Occupational Medicine physician to join their Alachua office, just north of Gainesville.
Job purpose: Primary focus clinic-based diagnosis and triage (non-invasive vs. surgical) and then executing a return-to-work treatment plan. Will also help structure the occupational health service line for the practice.
Role: The occupational medicine physician oversees the patient’s diagnosis and treatment of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Physician examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment, recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition, and prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury.
Physician will spearhead the overall plan for the practice worker’s compensation line, develop protocols and process for the TOI’s occupational medicine services, and meet with industry, employers, and workers’ compensation case managers.

33 physicians (23 surgeons, 6 primary care, 4 radiologists) operating out of 7 locations with 2 ambulatory surgery centers
Full suite of ancillary services including physical/hand therapy, DME, X-Ray, MRI, injectables, interventional radiology, EMG
