This is a Private practice located on the hospital campus. OB/Gyn group of 6. The group also employs 1 fulltime Nurse Practitioner and a CNM. . Typically a 3 or 4 day work week depending on the call schedule. Call is 1-5 days and weekends. Three of the six physicians do not take OB call. All physicians’ work a half day on Fridays. Day off after call. 2.5 to 3 days in the office, surgery is typically performed on your call day.

The practice is 70% Gyn, 30% Ob with an average of 40 deliveries per month with 5 physicians in the call group. Each physician averages 2-3 majors per month, 5-10 minors per month. General Ob/Gyn practice with some infertility (everything but IVF). There is teaching available. More involvement is available if desired (Grand Rounds, lectures, teaching, the practice is ok with as much academic work as you would like providing you are sharing equally in the practice schedule). Extra income is available for taking more call at either hospital ($1100/weeknight, $2200 per weekend call). When you take extra call you are in charge of the Residents. There is always a B/U physician on call but the b/u physician is almost never called in, 2 x per year max).

The practice has 2 office locations about 30 minutes from each other. Main office is is a fully equipped office with over 5k sq ft. In office Cryo, Leep, Laser, Colpo, Hysteroscopy, Uro Dynamics, in office 3D Mammography suite (all digital) and in office Ultrasound. They also have a Med Spa where physicians earn quite a bit of extra money (all services provided by NP’s or techs).

The practice delivers and performs 80% of deliveries at a Level III nursery. Fully equipped. All Specialists. 20% of the deliveries at at a another nearby hospital which is also a Level 11 Nursery with24hr dedicated OB Anesthesia.

The overall payer mix for the practice is excellent. The practice takes virtually no HMO patients and only sees Medicaid patients when they have ER call. The practice is almost all PPO or private insurance and self pay.

After the second year Physicians average 325 to 400k per year. Each physician in this practice are equal. Nobody makes more than the other. Full benefits, including full medical, license, cell, car allowance and 750, CME allowance, Occurrence Malpractice Insurance (No tail if you leave) You receive 6 weeks’ vacation in your first 18 months of employment and then you receive 6 weeks per year.
