The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks an experienced clinician to provide inpatient Ob/Gyn Hospitalist services. Services will be provided at a partner hospital that has approximately 8,000 deliveries annually and will include supervision of UTRGV Ob/Gyn residents and UTRGV medical students completing their third- and fourth-year clinical experiences. The successful candidate will work with the Chair to provide high quality clinical care, and development of educational activities for residents and medical students. For the interested candidate, a leadership role in quality improvement and patient safety is possible.

Candidates must have a MD, DO, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution and have or be eligible for a Texas medical license. Board Certification/Eligibility in OB/Gyn (and sub-specialty, if applicable) is required, and experience in a GME-Accredited Position or Program is preferred. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and academic credentials. Women, veterans, and minorities are encouraged to apply.

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine and its clinical entity – UT Health Rio Grande Valley - continue to grow. UTRGV was established in 2015 and is located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, a semi-tropical area known for rich culture, wildlife, and economical living conditions. The Ob/Gyn department prioritizes social responsibility, respect, dignity, advocacy, and community service – with a mission to improve health at the individual and community levels. We graduated our first class of Ob/Gyn residents in 2019 and our first class of medical students in 2020.
