This expanding University offers an exceptional opportunity to put your fingerprint on a new program. TTUHSC El Paso’s Paul L. Foster School of Medicine is seeking a dynamic physician leader to develop a new Department of OB/GYN and a new OB/GYN residency program in a unique private hospital and Health Sciences Center partnership.

As a full time, academic faculty, the selected candidate will focus on enhancing each of the University’s missions of education, patient care, scholarship, and public service. This position will also serve as Chief of Service, Section of OB/GYN, at The Hospitals of Providence Transmountain Campus, a new 106 bed community hospital built from the ground up to be a teaching facility for TTUHSC El Paso’s students. The Transmountain Campus is a comprehensive community hospital and is the newest addition in El Paso’s largest and most trusted healthcare network. A diverse patient population serves as the foundation for potential clinical research studies.

Ideal Candidate :
Board certified in OB/GYN or sub-specialty by the American Board of OB/GYN
Eligible for licensure/licensed in Texas
Qualified for academic rank of Associate or full Professor with direct leadership experience
“Working chair” who enjoys clinical practice with strong administrative and interpersonal skills
Experience in faculty and resident recruitment, retention, mentoring and development
Experience in a practice setting that includes a private sector/academic collaboration
Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related area desirable
