Additional OB/GYN Needed for Busy Practice
Western Plains is seeking an additional BC/BE OB/GYN for their growing population. This is a hospital employed practice located on the hospital campus joining two OB/GYN's. Call will be 1:3 and the practice is a great mix of OB and GYN. A competitive compensation package will be offered including a base salary, full benefits, sign on bonus, relocation assistance and student loan assistance. Stipends while you train are another great incentive offered!
About the Hospital
Medical Complex is a Joint Commission-accredited, 99-bed hospital that serves as a regional referral center for southwest Kansas. Provides health services that include Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology, a Cardiac Cath Lab and Cardiac Rehabilitation. We have imaging and diagnostic radiology services including a 64-slice CT, GE Lunar Bone Densitometer, Ultrasound, Digital Mammography and Stereotactic biopsy, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, 24-hr. Emergency Care, a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit, Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Orthopedics, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Level II Nursery, Nutrition Counseling, Occupational Medicine, Respiratory Therapy, a Sleep Disorders Center, Social Services, Womens Services and ongoing community education.
Medical Complex is the only hospital in Southwest Kansas to earn the distinction of Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance. We are also recognized as a Mission Lifeline STEMI receiving facility, as well as a Certified Stroke Emergent facility.
We have a Womens Center which has four labor/delivery rooms and six mother/baby rooms as well as its own set of surgery suites for C-sections. It is a Level II Nursery. We average about 780 deliveries per year. We also have a hospital-owned free-standing Surgery Center for those procedures that do not require full hospital support.
The Community
The colorful history of Dodge City began with the opening of the Santa Fe Trail in 1821. Today, Dodge City celebrates its western heritage every year during Dodge City Days; a two-week extravaganza that features one of the largest rodeos in the nation, arts and crafts, fairs, parades, street dances, BBQ contests and much more. The city also features a repertory dinner theater, arts center and several museums.

Dodge City Community College prepares more than 2,400 students in a wide range of academic fields, ranging from accounting to pre-veterinary medicine. Ft.
