Job Description

Last Update: 10/10/20

This Regional Medical Center is assisting a well-established OBGYN group with the recruitment of an additional physician due to growth and another physician phasing out obstetrics.

Currently, practice consists of 7 providers - physicians - 3 full-time OBGYNs, 1 gynecology only physician and 3 certified nurse midwives. The nurse midwives assist with first call.

The practice offers a wide range of gynecological procedures from in-office treatments to surgical services. They provide compassionate care through every step of a patient's pregnancy and are comfortable handling all aspects of high risk pregnancies.

The main practice location is housed on the first floor of the Regional Medical Center. They also offer a satellite location just north of Gainesville in Lake City, Florida for patient convenience.

The incoming physician will receive a competitive compensation package including benefits and malpractice.

The Medical Center is a 445-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center serving 14 counties and offering comprehensive cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, neurosciences, minimally-invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, weight loss surgery and treatment, women’s health and wound therapy, among other services. There are more than 425 physicians on staff in 40 different specialties.

Gainesville is home to the University of Florida, but it isn't just a great college town. It's a great town. Period. It's where nature and culture meet. Where trees draped in Spanish moss line quaint Old South inspired streets. Where a cozy quintessential downtown exudes hospitality, comfort, and at times, a certain refined ease in its shops and restaurants. Where state parks are a virtual playground of world-class natural attractions, sinkholes, waterways and waterfalls, shady pine forests, flora and fauna, and amazing natural north Florida sunsets. And where the surrounding towns like High Springs, Alachua, Cross Creek and Micanopy dial-up the charm even further each in their own individual way.
