This regional medical center is a critical healthcare provider serving the eastern Kentucky region with comprehensive women's health services. The facility features a 5-bed department in a Level 4 trauma center, providing essential medical care to the surrounding communities.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Coverage needed from December 23, 2025 (7am orientation) until December 29, 2025 (7am)
• OBGYN Call only - no clinic responsibilities
• Typically 1 patient encounter per shift
• Must be licensed in Kentucky or have IMLC
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Manage low-risk pregnancies (required) and high-risk pregnancies (preferred)
• Perform FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
• Conduct and interpret OB Ultrasounds (Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted preferred)
• Handle routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries
• Make decisions regarding c-section necessity
• Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
• Perform VBAC procedures when appropriate
• Repair 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Conduct office/minor gynecology procedures (preferred)
• Perform surgical gynecology including open procedures
• Handle laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures and major operative procedures
• 30-day estimated credentialing timeframe
• Accommodations available at Hampton Inn Hazard or Holiday Inn Hazard
• Nearest airports: Lexington, KY and Knoxville, TN
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
