Locum Source is working with a hospital in Ohio that is looking for a locum OB/GYN physician to assist with ongoing coverage. The great thing about Ohio is that they participate in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). If qualified, you could obtain an Ohio license in weeks. Dates & Schedule:
May-ongoing
7am – 7pm or 7pm – 7am
Option for 24 hour shifts
Details:
- Trauma Level 1 Hospital; Level III Nursery
- OB/GYN; Primarily inpatient OB, occasional GYN patients in ER
- Number of Exam Rooms: 5 triage, 2 C/S Operating Rooms, 12 Delivery rooms
- Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: 4 inductions, 1-2 C/S across clinic and private
- Percentage of Practice: Low Risk 60%; High Risk 40%; GYN: 10
- Average Number of GYN Surgeries Per Day (If Applicable): 1
- EMR: Epic
- Support Staff: Front Desk and Clinical Staff
- Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
Required Obstetrics Procedures:
- Low Risk Pregnancy; High Risk Pregnancy; FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE; OB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation; Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
Labor and Delivery Required Procedures:
- Complicated Delivery –C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc; VBAC’s; Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations; Routine Delivery –Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section
Gynecology Required Procedures:
- Surgical Gynecology; Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only-Tubal Ligation, LOA’s, Chromal Tubation; Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic) – Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA’s
Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Ohio license or IMLC Certified
- BLS, prefer EFM
- COVID Vaccinated
